Artist Bio for Shemika Bussey – To look at a canvas she has placed thoughts from her mind. Shemika Bussey, an abstract artist,has explored religious beliefs and emotional mindsets and desire through different materials and mediums. Some of her works glow in the dark.Her favorite medium is acrylic. Self-taught, and formally educated at Savannah State University, Shemika began painting as a means of dealing with depression.
